About First On Scene EMS

First On Scene is a medical stand-by company. We provide basic life support services at any event. We do not typically transport patients from the event (although we are transport-capable), if medical transportation is needed, a local EMS agency will be contacted at no cost to you the client. This in turn keeps First On Scene at your location and ensure continuous medical coverage for your event.

First On Scene Event Medical Services was founded by Steve & Nicole Covey in 2003. They have both worked in the EMS industry and saw a need for affordable event medical services. Renee Roberts was brought on as a partner in 2007.

Steve Covey:

Steve has worked as an EMT in the EMS industry for over 11 years. While in high school, Steve joined the Ambulance Explorer Post, he also volunteered at Roseville and Mercy San Juan Hospitals in the Emergency Department.  Steve was a team leader and diver for DART (Drowning Accident Rescue Team) for seven years.

Nicole Covey:

Nicole has been working in the EMS industry for eight years. Nicole is EMT certified and is currently working towards a Bachelors degree in health and human services.

Renee Roberts:

Renee has been in emergency services for over 27 years. Renee is an EMT, and has experience with treatment of athletic injuries. She has a Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences (Microbiology). Renee also has Hazardous Materials experience, and has been a member of DMAT CA-11 (Disaster Medical Assistance Team) for 7 years and CalMAT (California Medical Assistance Team) since its inception in 2007, providing medical care during disasters.
